Solid Core Base Material
Our solid-core base materials are available in aluminum and stainless steel. Aluminum material is our most popular choice for a base material. It is lightweight and easy to work with and can be specified on all of our products. Stainless steel provides greater impact strength and is particularly useful in hospitals or food production areas because of its sanitization characteristics. Both materials are available in all pattern and color combinations.
- Available in 48" X 96" and 48" X 120" sheets
- Standard aluminum sheet is .040" thick; other thicknesses are available. Material specification is 5052 / ASTM B209
- Aluminum sheets are 80% post-industrial recycled material contributing to LEED 2.0 MR Credit 4 recycled content
- Standard stainless steel is .036", 20 gauge thick, other thicknesses are available. Material is 304 / ASTM A240
- Custom sizes are available, 5' maximum width by 12' maximum length
- Once our solid-core base materials receive a color and pattern they are not post-formable by others and are not recommended for bending or forming to a radius less than 2'
The next step in the specification process is choosing from our 16 Colors and 12 Patterns. Not all Color/Pattern combinations are available in stainless steel. Our stainless steel materials appear slightly darker than aluminum material once the color has been applied.
