Takeya Japanese Steakhouse, Ormond Beach, FL

When it comes to making a statement about specifying architectural metals Takeya Japanese Steakhouse raises the bar to a new and exciting level. Moz Architectural Metals create an atmosphere filled with delight, visual interest and functional products. Envisioned by Noom Romyanond the restaurant is filled with textures and patterns that delight and inspire customers. The warm and gracious color scheme includes Champagne, Clear and Chocolate. The colors combined with the patterns of Kelp and Waves bring movement to the space that is not attainable with other laminate materials.

Noom came to Moz because he is familiar with our metals and the possibilities it brings. We worked closely with Noom regarding color selection, sampling and provided preliminary pricing.

Canopies

Suspended Canopies fill the teppanyaki table area of this contemporary restaurant. Large and small canopies combined create the appropriate scale that Noom was searching for. The canopies are Champagne with a Kelp pattern.

Custom Lighting Fixtures

Protruding from the interior of the suspended canopies are large custom lighting fixtures. Shrouded in Clear with a Waves pattern the fixtures captivatingly interact with the Champagne canopies.

Illuminated and Perforated Column Covers

The 7’ tall internally illuminated custom column covers create a glowing atmosphere in the lounge. When Moz patterns are combined with our perforated materials the results are amazing. The almost holographic effect is visually exciting and playful, perfect for the bar area where people are waiting to be seated. The base material of the column covers is Perforated Aluminum with a Waves pattern.

Wall Panels and Back Drops

Our metal laminates were used to continue the theme throughout the environment of this contemporary restaurant including: back drops behind the bar and a partitioned wall in the bar area. Noom developed visual interest by using our patterns in both a vertical direction and a horizontal direction on the same wall. The feeling of tension keeps the lounge appealing and contributes the feeling of movement.

Artwork

Whimsical artwork decorates the restaurant including: hanging mobiles and round recessed backdrops for three dimensional wave formations. The Artwork compliments and unifies the project. Kelp pattern combines with our Clear color to create the back drop.
